While I was in Ojai recording the Dreamweaver 8 Beyond the Basics title for lynda.com there were some reports from the Ventura County Star writing an article on lynda.com. They wanted to take a few photos of someone doing a recording, and they ended up using a shot of me on the front page of the Business section of their February 15th article. See mom and dad, I really do do real work :). Click the image for a larger version.

I finished up the new Dreamweaver 8 Beyond the Basics title for lynda.com on Friday. After 4 solid days in a little sound-proof room, it's time to head back home and catch up on all of the emails and questions from readers. The Beyond the Basics title covers advanced template usage, building multi-column CSS layouts, using some rapid coding techniques in Dreamweaver you might not have known where there, as well as a chapter on getting your feet wet with dynamic development in Dreamweaver 8.
I got my copy of Dreamweaver 8 Hands-on-Training today. The pages are still warm from the printer, and it looks damned good if I do say so myself. So buy your copy today, I have x-mas presents to buy y'know!
A slacker kind, that's what... Kim Cavanaugh posted about my book being listed on Amazon waaaay back in August, and I didn't even know... Thanks for the mention Kim, oh, and buy his book too ;)
Angela found the listing for my new book on Amazon today, Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 Hands-On-Training. Look Ma! I'm famous!
I finished Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury yesterday, and given the fact that the book was printed in 1953, I have to wonder if Ray Bradbury really could see the future. His vision of the homogenzation of society was even scarier given the fact that he wrote about it more than half a century ago. The idea of every group (and he mentions them as minorities) getting offended by one thing or another, and removing that item/word/idea that's offenstive, until we eventually have nothing but a plain vanilla world, devoid of any real meaning or independent thought. Just gave me the chills :D
Tom Muck's new Dreamweaver MX 2004 Complete Reference is out in stores now :). Pick up your copy today, cause I said so dontcha know...
I woke up Thursday morning and my Comcast cable was out (this is the first time in 3 years so I wasn't too upset), and it just got fixed yesterday afternoon. Was odd being without an internet connection for that long. Can you believe, I actually read a book? All 600 pages starting Friday night and ending Saturday afternoon (it was Battle Royale by Koushun Takami, very good).
I don't know who told them they could put my picture on the cover. I only gave them permission to put it on the inside....
Yes, I am still alive, but I've become somewhat of a social butterfly it seems, plus publishers don't think authors have lives :) (can you say major deadline over 4th of July weekend? I can...)
Just got 4 copies of the new book. It looks pretty snazzy if I do say so myself...
Just got my copy of Macromedia Dreamweaver MX Killer Tips, and I must say it's quite a pretty book. It's full color and chock full of useful stuff. As the intro says, when you go to the book store, you often just flip through the book reading all the nifty little tips that there never seem to be enough of. Well... this book is nothing but tips, so how can you go wrong? I'll try to post a more in depth review of it once I get a chance to read more. I hear the intro to Chapter 8 is hilarious.
If you look really close at the book cover of Dreamweaver MX: Advanced ASP Web Development you just might see my name ;).
